Why we began...
Mendota Youth Recreation began because
there are many children in our community
with very little to do. We wanted to become a
non-profit organization whose sole purpose
was to provide the youth of Mendota an
opportunity to grow in a positive environment
through recreational activity and sports
programs that promote physical activity, that
improve self esteem, and instill values for
community support; all the while giving our
children a healthy, alternative lifestyle rather
than the negative choices of substance
abuse and alcoholism. Our road then
began...

We are working! working! and still working
some more. Because the City of Mendota is
renovating the Rojas Pierce Park, we are
trying to find a place for conducting our
Baseball program. We are on hold until we
meet with the Mendota School Board and /or
the City Council of Mendota. There are no
facilities to put our Baseball Program in. If
you have no emergencies on these days, go
and sit in on these meetings. We need the
public support!! Thanks!

Estamos trabajando! trabajando, y todavia
mas trabajo. Desde que la Cuidad de
Mendota esta renovando el parque, Rojas-
Pierce, estamos tratando de localizar un
lugar parra conducir el Programa de Beisbol.
No podemos ser ninguin actividad hasta que
attendemos las juntas de el Districto de
Mendota y la de la Cuidad de Mendota. Por
favor, attienda estas juntas para dar su
apoyo! Gracias!

What we want and why...
We are still considered a young company that may fail.
But as we say in our organization, failure is not an
option . We may have some drawbacks but the
community is coming around and is beginning to
believe in us . Our services may be sparse at times but
we are open daily. What you might not know is that we
are run by a volunteer staff who is very committed to
succeed. Everyone in the organization volunteers to get
the job done. One day that may not be the case; but right
now, our children are whats most important! Our funds
are limited, so, we put every dollar we get back into our
programs. And then the dollar you spend helps to keep
costs to the minimum. Our monies come from
donations from community members, local
businesses, outside businesses. But the majority of
our revenue comes from the hard work that our
volunteers do by having local fund raisers, sponsoring
the Mendota Harvest Fiesta, from selling at the local
concession stands at games and tournaments. In the
end, all monies go back into the general fund , building
itself up for another year.
This is where we depend on you, the community, to
support us with our fund raisers, at our concession
stands, or chicken dinners. We wholeheartedly thank
you for your support!

Que quieremos y porque....
Somos una compania joven que todavia
podremos fracasar.. Pero hay un dicho
que dice," A fracasar no es una opcion!"
Hay tiempos que nuestro servicio o
programas son escaso pero abrimos
nuestras puertas diarias. Mucha de la
communidad no sabe que nuestra oficina
es corrido por un grupo de voluntarios
que trabajan sin sueldo pero estan
comprometidos hacer esta organizacion
un exito. Trabajamos juntos para estar
seguros que nuestra programa esta
hecho bien. Los ninos son lo mas
importante! Los fondos son limitados,
pero cada centavo puesto en la
organizacion, es para los programas que
sostenemos. Los fondos vienen de
donaciones de miembros de la
communidad, negocios locales; pero la
mayor del dinero viene del trabajor de
cada unos de los voluntarios.
Trabajamos patrocinando la Fiesta de la
Cosecha, durante del beisbol vendiendo
comida, muchos otros proyectos.
